Well, I finally got a chance to New York City.  I saw a lot of the popular places:  Times Square, The Empire State Building, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall.  For me, the highlight was the opportunity to see some great musicians play at two clubs I have wanted to visit for the longest time -- The Stone and Tonic.  Unfortunately, Tonic closed the week I was there due to increasing rent costs in the East Village.  However, I did get to see John Zorn perform during Improv Night which was the last show before Tonic closed its doors.

Three recommendations if you ever go to New York City:
1.  Eat at Virgil’s BBQ @ 152 W 44th St
2.  See Avenue Q
3.  Check out a show at The Stone
